What is the age requirement for children’s ear lobe piercings?

We have a minimum age requirement of 12 years old. If you are over 14 years old, you can book an appointment for lobe piercings under the 14+ category. Minors under 13 years old and 14 years and older have different ID requirements. Please visit our FAQ page for more info.

What is the cost?

Each lobe piercing is $30 and the cost of jewelry will start at $30 for a stud option with a plain ball or disk. Stud options with gems will start at $45 per piece. You can expect a starting price of $120 for the set of earlobes including the piercings and jewelry.

What are the ID requirements for the appointment?

The parent/guardian is required to have a valid state issued photo ID for themselves. The minor getting pierced is required to have a valid state issued photo ID or their original birth certificate. Photo copies will not be accepted.

• Parent/guardian last name must be the same on Photo ID and birth certificate or change of name paperwork shown.

• If a legal guardian is present, guardianship paperwork issued by the state is required. If your child is adoption, we must have adoption paperwork.

• A parent or legal guardian must be present through the entire procedure.

Acceptable forms of ID include:

• Driver’s license

• State issued identification card

• Passport

• Military ID

Under state law, this is non-negotiable.

Please be aware if these documents are not present at the beginning of the appointment your appointment will be cancelled and deposit will be forfeit.

Proper identification must be brought to every appointment, every time.

What type of jewelry do you use?

We generally use a stud style earring with a flat disc on the back. We use only the best materials from the most reputable jewelry companies in the USA. When you come in for your appointment, you can choose from various options in implant grade titanium as well as 14k white, yellow and rose gold. Gemmed titanium stud options will start at $50 per earring.

Downsizing

Downsizing is an important step in the healing process. The piercings are initially done with longer jewelry to accommodate the swelling that happens with fresh piercings. Once the swelling has gone down the posts will need to be changed to fit the earlobe snug. Leaving long jewelry in can cause irritation and migration which can cause healing issues or crooked piercings. We typically see swelling subside in about 4-6 weeks with lobe piercing, which is when you will want to bring your child back for a downsize. During a downsize we change only the posts out for shorter, well-fitted pieces. Don’t worry - we change only the post portion, not the gem or top so you will not need to purchase a whole new piece!
Downsizing is $15 for each post and $10 for the service fee to cover gloves, time, and supplies used.
The same identification is needed for both the initial piercing appointment and the downsize appointment.

What else do I need to know?

Your child will decide if they are ready to get pierced. We will not force or coerce anyone to get pierced if they are not ready.

We use sterile, single-use needles as it is the most gentle and safe way to perform the piercings.
